Quickbooks Integration

Hi folks! Two more questions as we're planning this feature:
- Do you have your payment processor (e.g. Square, Stripe, or another service) also connected to Quickbooks? If so, would you want Perfect Venue payments still synced to Quickbooks as well?
- Should offline payments on Perfect Venue be able to be synced to Quickbooks as well? Or do you already have these payments synced to QBO, so this would be double counting?

Collin Trevinno: Yep, this makes sense! We're trying to avoid double counting / creating more work for venues. So it seems fine if Perfect Venue pushes payments to QBO. Any thinking on offline payments, i.e. should those be synced to QBO as well? Or would they already be logged on QBO, and you want just the transactions processed through PV pushed to QBO? Will email you in case you're interested in a 15-30 min call tomorrow to learn more!

So happy to here this feature is progressing.
- We have 2 payment systems, and they are not botha linked to QB. For us, the system NOT linked to quickbooks is being used for PV, so it would be beneficial to have this option, and would not cause duplicate data.
- There should be an option to opt-in or opt-out of Off-line payments syncing. Similar to the how you can turn the individual fees (ACH, Credit Card, etc...) on for everything, yet selectively remove them for an individual entry. For example: if a client pays "offline" by sending funds via Zelle, that is already captured in Quickbooks (which is linked to the bank account). However, if the client pays in cash, I have to manually enter it into Quickbooks. In the Zelle scenario, a Perfect Venue sync would create a double entry. In the cash scenario, entering the value into PV would be the single entry for all linked systems.

From your insights, it seems like being able to decide which payments and invoices from perfect venue sync to quickbooks would be core to this feature too.
What's the preference on when Perfect Venue would sync to Quickbooks for your events? Would it align with any workflows -- e.g. sync and create an invoice + sync payments only when an event is completed, or once it's confirmed?

Megha Torpunuri for us it would be best to sync once a payment is made online or when we do a offline transaction as we do payment plans and would be collecting multiple payments

For folks with multiple venues on Perfect Venue, is it expected that all of the venues' invoices and payments flow to the same QBO account or are they different accounts?

Megha Torpunuri We use different QBO accounts per location, so for us specifically we'd hope for a different qbo entity per location, similar to a separate bank/stripe account per location.
